Nick's First Update!

Hey everybody!

So this is my first official update ... who else is excited about that!?!?!

Ok so here's the scoop.....We are currently just outside Buffalo, NY setting up for another acoustic show. For those that don't know, we are in the last week of our first ever acoustic tour that started on march 6th. We have had a blast on this tour. It's been a good challenge for us to not be so.. hmmm.... loud? But we have had a great time out on the road with Chris Taylor (BEC Records) and Esterlyn (Rooster Records) they are a couple great artists you should definetly check out if you haven't heard them already.

So, since we're on the topic of firsts, i thought I'd also fill you in on my first experience at GMA (Gospel Music Association) week in Nashville, TN where we spent the past few days. Let me start by explaining what this week is all about. GMA Week is a week set aside in April for the Christian music industry to all come together and discuss, create, and promote. Since we have a brand new album coming out this june, our role this year was to meet with lots of radio stations, tv stations, magazines, etc. and tell them a bit about the record and about what God's been doing with us this year.

So, it all started Monday morning for our crew. Jon Micah and I started our day off at the ripe hour about 7:45 am. This may seem not so bad to some of you, but when we didn't get to bed until about 2:00-4:00 am after our show the night before.... It's a bit rough! So him and I headed down to the lobby half awake and started our first interview around 8:00 am..... about 15 interviews, 3 coffees, 8 sodas, and 12 hours later, we were done with day one! the chaos continued through tuesday afternoon and we began to prepare for our evening at the Tooth & Nail/BEC Recordings Artist Showcase. This is where lots of industry people and friends and fans come out to here a bunch of the artists on the label play some new songs basically. So we went on around 8:00 pm and played a couple new tracks including our title track "To Know That You're Alive" as well as another song on the new record titled "Loud". The set also included some of our usuals like "Sea of Faces" & "Strong Tower" and we ended the set with our new radio single "Complete" which should be hitting the airwaves in the next couple weeks! We did feel a bit rusty picking up some electric guitars after being on this acoustic tour, but it felt so good to be LOUD! again!

Wednesday morning we had a couple more interviews and that was that for GMA week 2008! We hopped on the bus yesterday afternoon and drove all the way from Nashville to Buffalo, NY and here we are! We still have a few shows left on the acoustic tour so you east coast kids check our tour page for the details!

Thanks for all the support on the new record we cannot wait to get it to you all.... I hope you're all doing well and God bless. We'll talk again soon!
